Why An Editorial Policy Is Important

As with all policies, an editorial policy is a guideline that influences how we produce resources created by our team. This includes everything online and in print that has been drafted, written, edited, reviewed, and shared by Able To Change.

We maintain a high standard of excellence for all training and educational material to uphold accuracy and integrity. Three core components of our editorial policy ensure we always remain connected to what matters to us, our clients, and our community, and they are:

  • We create content and resources that are well within the scope of our field (mental health, substance use disorder, evidence-based treatment, holistic therapy, etc.).
  • All content will be reviewed and vetted to ensure accuracy and to promote harm reduction.
  • Every resource, online and in print, must meet or exceed our high ethical standards for transparency, accessibility, usefulness, and respect.

The Editorial Process At Able To Change

All of our materials are planned, created, and reviewed by or with our team of subject matter experts. Their knowledge and expertise enable them to enhance awareness of important topics from a factual and objective point of view.

That proficiency of our contributors is how we can provide our clients and community with high-quality educational materials and resources that aid in recovery. We can help those who need support the most to cut through the noise of useless and poorly vetted materials online.

Each resource we publish is medically reviewed by our team or an industry partner with the relevant expertise to uphold our standards. Our clients and families should have confidence and peace of mind that everything we produce is accurate, helpful, and easily understood.
